CAMOUFLAGE TATTOO
Made popular by instagram tattoo artist Rodolpho Torres from São Paulo, Brazil, Brazilian Camouflage Tattoo is a technique of permanently concealing stretch marks, scars and other skin-related imperfections. This technique is also effective on scarring from injuries or surgery. The procedure, technique, and color blending formulas offer near-perfect results that are unmatched on the market.
This camouflage procedure differs greatly from a micro-pigmentation procedure as it is not affected by the process of cellular renewal. Our Camouflage technique takes place directly in the dermis, where the skin color is stable and does not change over time. This unique method combines precise color formulation to perfectly match many different skin complexions for a concealed and permanent solution. The pigments are not susceptible to fading or discoloration over time due to the body’s natural absorption.
Am I A Candidate?
Stretch marks must be at least:
Scars must be:
*Skin must be untanned at the time of the appointment for precise skin color matching. If skin is suntanned or spray tanned at the time of the procedure, color may be mismatched and the treated scar will appear darker than the surrounding skin.
During the Appointment
Skin tone will be assessed and color matched by the paramedical tattooer. Please understand that the color matching process may take some time as it accounts for the first half of the appointment. Wear comfortable, loose clothing and feel free to bring something to do while laying down on the adjustable bed. The treatment room is completely private with a thermostat to help you feel most comfortable. Feel free to bring a pillow.
The length of time for the visit depends on the size of the area to be treated. On average, a small area takes around 1 hour while a large area may take up to 3 hours.
All treatments include a 6 week follow-up appointment. An aftercare kit with instructions will be provided after the procedure.
What to Expect After Treatment
After 30-60 days of the initial treatment, you should see a reliable indication of the result. During and after the procedure, tattooed areas will be red, raised, and may feel sunburnt. This is normal and to be expected. Minor itchiness is a common symptom during the healing process. DO NOT SCRATCH as it can create pigment loss and unexpected healed results. For itching relief, ointment can be applied to the treated area.
The results are permanent as long as proper aftercare is followed.
Contraindications
This procedure is NOT advised for any of the following:
(*If you regularly develop post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation after any skin injury or trauma, it is not advisable to treat with tattoo camouflage. Since tattooing is a form of micro-injury, this treatment could trigger further hyperpigmentation. A patch test would need to be performed if you have this condition.)
